Use AssistiveTouch

Enable AssistiveTouch under Settings → Accessibility → Touch. Configure a custom action or menu item for Screenshot, then use that on-screen control.

Face ID, Home button, and iOS versions

Choose the shortcut by your hardware: Face ID models use Side + Volume up; Home button models use Home + Side or Top. The preview and save controls can differ between iOS versions. Full Page appears only for supported content.

Edit and share your screenshot

Use the screenshot preview to crop or add markup before saving. For a full-page capture, follow the available save options; the output and destination depend on the content and iOS version.

How to screenshot on iPhone: common questions

Why do I see power controls instead?+

The press may be too long. Release both buttons immediately.

Can I capture more than what’s visible?+

Full Page is available for supported content; it is not an option in every app.

Can I capture without pressing physical buttons?+

Yes. AssistiveTouch provides an on-screen screenshot action once configured.

Should I hold the buttons until the screen changes?+

No. Use a brief simultaneous press and release; holding the buttons performs other actions.
